I would watch the Cubs play the Dodgers on television as a kid and kind of adopted the Dodgers as my second National League team while growing up. I always hoped (and still do) to see the Cubs play at Dodger Stadium. If I could not see the Cubs play the second best game had to be against the Dodgers greatest rival the Giants from just up the road in San Francisco on March, 30, 2018.
We headed to the land of Cheese not for their fantastic Irish Fest – but to watch our Cubs take on the Brewers on a Sunday afternoon. This might have just been the game that propelled the Cubs into the playoffs for the third straight year.
We have each been going to baseball games since we were kids. Pat happened to be a kid many years earlier than Tommy. In 2016 we made it a goal to see the Cubs play in every Major League stadium. We have started an annual pilgrimage to watch the Cubs on the road starting with Atlanta in 2016. We have even been known to visit other stadiums when the Cubs are not the visiting team when opportunity allows. Below is a list of the stadiums we have visited.

You could not ask for a better weekend of baseball than we had at Pittsburgh in June 2017. Okay, a sweep would have made it a just a little better. Weather was beautiful and the rain waited until we were headed out of town to start on Sunday evening.
The Inaugural Baseball Road Trip took us to Atlanta. This was a trip of firsts and lasts as it was our first official road trip and our last visit to watch the Cubs play at Turner Field. I guess the stadium was just getting too old to play baseball in on a regular basis. I would like to say as a Cubs fan that I can relate to that – I can not. Continue reading
